Parent View

Ofsted say, 'Parent View gives you the chance to tell us what you think about your child’s school. Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. We will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping your child’s school to improve. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about your child's school.'

Please click on the link below to fill in a questionnaire and record your views about the school.

At our Autumn Term parents' evenings (October 2017), we gave out the Parent View questionnaire and these were some of our results:

We have begun to work on the following as a result of the questionnaire feedback:

Some parents ticked the 'Don't know' box on homework and these were parents whose children were new to the nursery and hadn't really considered this yet. The homework policy is discussed and updated by staff on an annual basis. Year 2 have already begun to send extra homework out. Our Family Support Worker will be finding out more information from parents as she meets with them on a regular basis.

Some parents ticked the 'Don't know' box on bullying and conversations revealed that most of these parents either did not understand what the question meant or they had not encountered this in school. We work hard to ensure children understand about bullying and we were very proud to achieve a national anti-bullying award.
