Design Technology
Design and Technology at KRIII promotes qualities such as curiosity, enquiry and perseverance. We aim for our children to feel confident when using design and technology methods and processes. The Design and Technology Curriculum provides practical experiences in which children use their own creativity and imagination to design, make and evaluate products. They are encouraged to carefully consider function and purpose and to question how and why things work the way they do. Pupils are given opportunities to solve problems both independently and as a team and to evaluate their ideas and creations. As a school we want our children to leave with the willingness to take creative risks in order to produce innovative ideas, through their design and ability to evaluate their outcome. We aim for out Design and Technology Curriculum to prepare our children, to give them the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences they need to be successful in later life.
