Autumn 2022 return to pre-lockdown start and end times at KRIII

We wanted to give you all as much notice as possible that AFTER the summer break, in the new autumn term, we'll be going back to our old start and end times for the school day.
After the summer holiday:
In the morning, the school gates will open at 8.45am, with the register closing at 9am.
At home time, we'll open the gates at 3pm for you to collect your children.
We'll be keeping the IN (red gate)/OUT (green gates) system on the KS1 playground.
Remember that these changes will happen AFTER the summer break - until then, we'll carry on just as we are.

Free School Meals if you have 'no recourse to public funds'
Mon 13 Jun 2022The DFE have permanently extended free school meal eligibility to children in all households with no recourse to public funds (NRPF), subject to maximum income thresholds.
What this means is that you'll be entitled to apply for pupil premium - so your child is then entitled to school milk after they turn 5, for instance. It also means that they'll be able to have free school meals when they move on to junior school. All of our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children get free school meals anyway at King Richards, but that changes when they move on. It's well worth doing, there isn't any catch and it might really help you!

The children's anti-bullying policy
Mon 06 Jun 2022In our assembly this morning, our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children looked through the School Council's anti-bullying policy, talked about parts of it and made some suggestions... and here is the final result!
