Newsletter for King Richard III Infant and Nursery School - Friday 13th January 2023
Dear parents, carers, families and friends,
2023 seems to have started very positively, despite the rain and chilly winds! It's good to see everyone back to school with warm coats, hats, gloves and a smile
Is my child too ill for school?
The DfE has forwarded a very useful link this morning - advice for parents about whether their children should come to school or stay at home with different illnesses. The link is HERE. Some of the advice might surprise you! We always reassure parents that if their child shows just minor signs of being poorly, to bring them in to school. We'll call you if they seem to be feeling worse during the day. If you're not sure whether to send them, give us a call at school to talk it through.
School dinner theme days
Two exciting school dinner days coming up...
On Thursday 19th January, we'll be celebrating 'Census Day' with a Children's Choice menu - the children in Reception and Key Stage 1 have expressed clear school dinner preferences for their Children's Choice on that day, so clearly everyone is going to love their food on that day!
On Tuesday 24th January, the menu is a celebration of Chinese New Year - it looks delicious!
Household Support Fund
If you missed the self-referral window for this, don't forget that you can speak to Sheereen (our Family Support Worker) at any time and she can put in a professional referral on your behalf.
As always, if we can help in any way, or if you have questions, comments or concerns, please get in touch or chat with us at the playground gates.
Have a lovely weekend!
