Newsletter for October 6th 2021

Dear parents, carers, families and friends,

This has been another very busy week. We started the week, at the start of the day, with a fire drill - and the children (and staff, of course) were brilliant! The school was evacuated completely in just over 3 and 1/2 minutes, which was fantastic smiley We were so impressed by everyone's calm attitude and thoughtful behaviour - well done to all of the children.

While on the subject of safety, I'd be grateful if you could continue to take care when parking or driving close to school. Some of our neighbours have been upset and scared by parents driving with wheels on the pavement, for instance, and sometimes parking can be just as dangerous. We have so many children and adults walking around the school at the start and end of the day - we don't want anyone to be hurt, so please support the school by driving and parking in a careful, thoughtful way.

Parents' meetings start next week - please speak to your child's teacher to make an appointment to talk with them. This is a really important opportunity to support your child's learning.

Covid safety remains high on our list of priorities. If your child has any symptoms or if they test positive, they need to stay at home to avoid passing it on to anyone else. I know how much we all want to move on from thinking about it, but I also know how much it continues to affect families, so we need to continue to take care of each other.

If your child is well, however, we need to see them in school! Attendance is a top priority for us - your child needs to be in school every day that they're able to attend so that they can continue to learn and progress. You can find more information about attendance on this page on our website - I hope it's helpful. If you have any questions or comments, please do get in touch.

Meanwhile, take care and stay safe -

Ms Harrison and the KRIII team
