🌞 Newsletter for 15th October 2025
Dear parents, carers, families and friends,
It’s been lovely to see so many of you coming to your parents’ evening meetings this week! Thank you for making time to talk with your child’s teacher about how well things are going. It makes a huge difference.
Thank you so much, too, to everyone who has already completed the governors’ questionnaire about the school this week – it’s been brilliant to see so many lovely comments. I’ve attached a pdf of the questionnaire in case you need another copy (or the QR code), but Dale George, our chair of governors, will be in the hall tomorrow with paper copies too. I know she’ll be delighted if you have time for a chat while you’re waiting to see your child’s teacher.
I’ve also attached a draft copy of a new ‘Community Code of Conduct’ for you to read. Please do let me know your thoughts about it – it would be great to hear your ideas.
Today we had a whole school fire practice – the whole building was completely evacuated in 2 minutes and 40 seconds! This is our best time ever, I think, and the staff and children were fantastic.
Last thing to mention – don’t forget that it’s half term next week! School will be closed for the week beginning Monday 20th October and everyone will be back in school again on the 27th. Let me wish you a warm and happy week in advance 😊
All best wishes,
Ms Lou Harrison
