Friday 12th July 2024
Dear parents, carers, families and friends,
It's hard to believe that we're at the end of the school year, even though we all know how busy the last few months have been! Sports days, end-of-year reports, performances, ice cream vans, phonics screens, end-of-year assessments... the list of events is a very long one, and we've been really grateful for your support throughout.
As we get to the end of the term today, I hope it's helpful for me to remind you that this is the last day of the school year. The school won't be open to the children again until Thursday 29th August, when we look forward to seeing everyone back with big smiles!
You will have seen on Weduc/ReachMoreParents that Tanya (our family support worker) has been adding links to activities that your children might enjoy over the summer holiday.
Sometimes, time away from school can be difficult - if you feel that you need to get in touch during the break, please use this email address: safeguarding@kingrichards.leicester.sch.uk
Of course, if it's an emergency, you must call the police or emergency services and they'll do their best to help straight away.
Next week, there are two more very valuable opportunities to get measles vaccinations:
[Now out of date]
And one final reminder that the school will be closed from the end of today until the start of Thursday 29th August.
Have a lovely summer break - take care, stay safe and have fun!
I look forward to seeing you all again soon
Ms Harrison (Headteacher at KRIII)
