🌟 King Richard III Infant and Nursery School Newsletter 🌟
Friday 20th June 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your families are well.
I’m writing to share some highlights from this week at King Richard III Infant and Nursery School, and to let you know about a few important events coming up.
It’s been a very exciting week! Our Key Stage 1 children went on two fantastic trips. Year 2 visited the Outdoor Pursuits Centre, where they took part in fun and challenging activities that helped build their confidence and teamwork. At the same time, Year 1 went to Twycross Zoo to learn more about animals and the natural world. Both groups had a brilliant time, and we’re so proud of how well they behaved and represented our school.
We also held our Blossom Sports Day this week, which was a joyful event for our DSP children. They showed great energy and enthusiasm, and it was lovely to see so many parents joining us to cheer them on. Thank you for coming—it really means a lot to the children and helps strengthen the important connection between school and home.
Looking ahead, here are a few things to remember:
· Our main Sports Day is coming up on Wednesday, 25th June at 1.15pm for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. We would love for you to join us to celebrate your children’s efforts and achievements.
· School reports will be sent out by email on Friday, 27th June. Please make sure the School Office has your correct email address. If your contact details have changed, do let us know as soon as possible so you don’t miss your child’s report.
· With the very warm weather at the moment, please remember to send your child to school with a sunhat and a water bottle every day. These are really important to help keep them safe and comfortable. There’s no need to bring coats or extra layers while the weather stays hot.
· Last thing – if you’re not already signed up to Weduc/ReachMoreParents, please download the app and make sure you’re getting all of the messages being sent to you by your child’s teacher. If you need some help with this, drop into the School Office and they’ll help to make sure you have the information you need.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. We are so grateful to work in partnership with you to give your children the best start to their learning journey.
With best wishes,
Ms Harrison
